Portraits are one of those things that I absolutely love doing. Besides having the opportunity to create something uniquely specific to that individual, it’s also an opportunity for me to get to connect and know that person, even if it’s only for a brief moment… and while many will talk about capturing that one moment in time, for me, it about pulling out that one small character trait that most might not get to see on a daily basis. Creating a portrait becomes personal for me as well and it’s important to be authentic, even when creating something conceptual.
