Cleveland Commercial Photographer getting up close and creative to capture product details… and having a little fun with a behind the scenes image.
There are times when it can get a little busy in the studio, and it’s always possible to have multiple things happening at once and/or having things staged and ready to go. However, that madness is usually a controlled situation during a photo shoot where we might have several things to photograph and items are being prepped for the next shot.
The fun behind the scenes image (well, funny to me) is from a somewhat rare situation, that kind of says it all. Typically I like things kept tidy at the studio, with tools and equipment being put away after use or after each shoot. The situation happened when it was noticed that several items were left out from a shoot the day before. On top of that, equipment was still set up from a quick shoot in the morning… all while equipment was being swapped out for a last minute project that just came in the door that afternoon. In a nutshell, there was stuff all over the studio from a past, present and future photo shoot… and the image is only showing half of it!
Some people (or maybe most) would find this to be normal or no big deal… but here, it’s disruptive. I like to start a photo shoot on a clean slate. Not only does it help with knowing where everything is, but it also helps clear my mind from the last photo shoot and keeps the creative focus on the current shoot. Again, for many people, that probably doesn’t make sense… but in my world, there needs to be a certain level of order. It’s all part of my process!
